What We Do: The Sister School Program

Positive Planet supports partnerships between school communities in the U.S. and Uganda. Our American students raise funds to support their sister school while learning about life in Uganda and exchanging pen pal letters with their fellow students.

We believe that by expanding our students experience of community to include global partnerships such as these, we can make an important contribution towards improving the quality of education for our Ugandan children while deepening our American students understanding of the world, it's different cultures and the important issues we face.

Current Partnerships

The Hannah Senesh Community School and Matale Hill
Ryan Intermediate School (M.S. 216) and Kirumba Primary School
Mary McDowell Center for Learning and Lwamaya Primary School
The International Dual Language School (P.S. 24) and St Nicholas Mannya Primary School
