All children have a hunger for knowledge. Positive Planet is committed towards helping create the opportunity for all students to have access to the educational resources needed to become successful and active learners. Making quality education for all of our children a reality takes many people and organizations working in partnership.
Books for Africa is an international project whose mission is to end the book famine in Africa. This year we are partnering with Books for Africa and with Rotary International to ship a 20 foot shipping container filled with donated books from U.S. based publishers and schools to Uganda. Positive Planet along with local Rotary Clubs in Uganda are working to ensure that the shipment of books is relevant to the needs of our students. We are also working with local educators and community leaders to identify schools that have both a critical need for books and the ability to ensure they are appropriately maintained and used by their students.
