All children have a hunger for knowledge. Positive Planet is committed to creating the opportunity for our students to have access to the educational resources needed to become successful and active learners. Making quality education for all of our children a reality takes many people and organizations working in partnership.
In the summer of 2009, partnering with the Kenya Education Fund
and Hope Children's Fund, a shipping container with approximately 1,000 boxes of donated books was sent to East Africa. These books, one third of which have been distributed to our Ugandan schools, will be used to create working libraries. For the first time the 2,000 students who are served by our programs will know the simple joy of reading a book.
