Our U.S. sister schools are diverse both in their missions as well as the communities they serve. What they have in common is a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of the children in their sister school. In addition, they appreciate that having students participate in the Sister School Program is an important part of their education; instilling values of community service while broadening our children’s understanding of the world they will soon inherit.
To become a sister school here is what you need:
- One or more educators willing to serve as Sister School Coordinators for their school’s program
- A three-year commitment to ensure that your students get the full value of this program and your Ugandan sister can expect a committed partner as they address critical needs in improving the quality of education for their students.
Once you become a Sister School here is what Positive Planet will provide:
- We will meet with school administrators and prospective Sister School Coordinator to help plan and coordinate your participation in the program.
- Positive Planet will provide educational multi-media assembly programs to introduce the sister school program to your students.
- We provide logistic support for our pen-pal program encouraging long lasting friendship between our sister schools.
- In partnership with our Ugandan sister school communities, Positive Planet will coordinate and manage the projects funded by the money raised at your school.
- We provide lesson plans to assist in the education of your students on life in Uganda.
If you are interested in having your school become a Positive Planet Sister School, please contact us we will be happy to schedule an introductory meeting at your school.
